• ‘Go big or go home': Martinez enters talks with architect firm on major marina overhaul (localnewsmatters.org) — Martinez is moving ahead with an ambitious, privately funded overhaul of the aging Martinez Marina, after the City Council approved exclusive negotiations with Tucker Sadler Architects. Over the next two years, the city will refine designs, complete environmental review, and seek community input on a plan that could add hotels, restaurants, parks, and new boat facilities while reducing current marina costs for local taxpayers.
