Contra Costa Man Suffers Severe Burns In Motor Home Fire
A man is in critical condition after suffering severe burns in a motor home fire Sunday night in the Pacheco area.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- A man is in critical condition after suffering severe burns in a motor home fire Sunday night in the Pacheco area of unincorporated Contra Costa County.
The fire was reported at 10:43 p.m. March 19, and when emergency crews arrived at 150 S. Buchanan Circle they found a motor home parked near a public storage facility, according to Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Fire Marshal Robert Marshall.
The vehicle was fully on fire and a man was walking around, conscious and breathing but with severe burn injuries. Firefighters tended to his injuries, and the victim was later transported by helicopter to the burn
center at UC Davis Medical Center.

Initially there had been concern that the fire might spread, but firefighters had it knocked down by 10:57 p.m., Marshall said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
