Downtown Cleanup Day
More than 100 people donated the morning of April 17 to the task of cleaning up downtown.
On Sunday, April 17, Main Street was closed while more than 100 people took brooms, power cleaners, rakes, pruners and gloves and put the shine on downtown Martinez. It was the 10th annual cleanup day, sponsored by Main Street Martinez and coordinated by this year's Lifetime Achievement Award winner Barbara Kapsalis. After a morning of hard work, the volunteers were rewarded with a BBQ lunch from Marty O's Concessions and Catering.
