Fairfield Man Seen In Stolen Car, Arrested In Hercules

Just before 2 a.m., an officer noticed a black Nissan Sentra parked behind Willow Food and Liquor with a man and woman inside.

HERCULES-Police arrested a man with an outstanding warrant early Wednesday morning in Hercules after an officer discovered the car he was driving was stolen.

At 1:55 a.m., an officer noticed a black Nissan Sentra parked behind Willow Food and Liquor at 844 Willow Ave., according to police.

The officer learned Fairfield police had reported the vehicle stolen earlier that day, police said.

The officer contacted the driver, identified as Fairfield resident Eric Campbell, 34, as well as a female passenger, according to police.

Campbell was discovered to have a warrant for his arrest out of Solano County for vehicle theft. The officer arrested Campbell for the outstanding warrant and on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, police said.

The female passenger was released.

Campbell has been booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, according to police.
