Fistfight on the Streets of Martinez: PI vs. Prosecutor

It was a legal and physical smackdown as the Contra Costa Times reports on a Martinez street fight between prosecutor Paul Sequeira and private investigator Mark Harrison.

We live in a fairly safe city, but sometimes there are reports of violence. Usually it involves alcohol, perhaps some young people mixing it up (a recent report of a homeless man being beaten by some youth was posted in our comment stream).

But the violence sometimes extends to the people charged with seeking evidence and justice. Reference a recent (Aug. 17) episode between prosecutor Paul Sequeira and private investigator Mark Harrison, who, according to Lisa Vorderbrueggan of the Contra Costa Times, mixed it up in front of the prosecutor's downtown office.

Harrison tried to serve a subpoena on Sequeira, whose testimony was sought in attorney , and the private investigator waited in the bushes, according to Sequeira, until the prosecutor emerged from his office. The two then engaged in a street-level version of a cage match, until police arrived.
