Free Pet Adoptions Offered At Contra Costa Animal Services

Community members can help free up kennel space by adopting an animal for free during the month of June. Fosters are also sought.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Contra Costa Animal Services is at maximum capacity. Therefore, the shelter is offering free pet adoptions through the month of June.

"If you can't adopt, maybe you could foster, if you can't foster we would love a share or a like so that we can spread the word and get these cuties out," Contra Costa Animal Services said on its Facebook page. "We have small dogs, medium dogs, large dogs, all temperaments, and all energy levels. Come visit us and let us help you find your perfect fit."

Free adoptions apply to all animals this month; however, a $25 licensing fee may apply.

The shelter at 4800 Imhoff Place in Martinez is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday.
