Martinez Dad Is 'One Of The Smartest People In The World,' Son Says

MARTINEZ, CA— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Martinez, meet Leo Peak.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

What makes your dad extra special?

(Written by my son, Marley - age 8) Our Dad is extra special because every single night before bed, he asks us what our favorite part of the day was and what we’re grateful for. It makes us happy and appreciative for the day we had and excited for the day ahead.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

He does a lot of things for our family and for my brothers and me that go unnoticed. He works hard as a Realtor so that Mom can stay home with us to homeschool us and because they always talk about how fast we grow. And even when Dad is working, he will stop to help us if we need it. I think he’s one of the smartest people in the world (he’s like Google or Alexa) and tells us he loves us lots of times a day.
