Reservations are being accepted for the free workshop, called "Sustainable Citizen," in support of its recycling, resource conservation and Climate Action Plan initiatives.
The class is designed to educate participants on the importance of sustainability; to teach simple and effective ways to make sustainable practices part of residents' everyday life; and even show how sustainable practices can save money.
This class is well suited to anyone interested in becoming better stewards of the environment, so feel free to bring the whole family. As a special bonus, all participants at the class will receive a free sustainability kit filled with goodies, and there will be a raffle off two free composting bins for participants.
To register, email SCrsvp@cityofmartinez.org or call the city’s recycling hotline at (925) 372-3531.
