"Mighty Mighty Sea Cadets. . ."

It was startling to the ears that were used to the bucolic quiet of a Sunday morning in downtown Martinez; suddenly, a spoken song, a cadence, broke the silence. Down Ferry Street came a line of boys and girls marching to the sing-song rhyme of a leader, who would shout a phrase, and the rest would answer. It was the sea cadets, ROTC for the Navy.
