Mother Charged With Murder In Daughter's Stabbing
Murder charge filed against Martinez mother in the stabbing death of her daughter.
MARTINEZ, CA — A Martinez woman has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of her daughter on Nov. 18.
The Contra Costa District Attorney's Office announced charges against 36-year-old Brittney Evanna Kazee in connection with her daughter's death.
Kazee was arrested Nov. 18 by Martinez police officers responding to reported altercation between two females at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Fig Tree Lane.

Police found 19-year-old Shaniyah Kazee unconscious with a wound to her stomach area. She was transported to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Brittney Kazee is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Martinez. She remains in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility on a $1 million bond.
