Motorcyclist Dies Days After Martinez Crash
A 28-year-old motorcyclist who crashed in Martinez last week has died, the Contra Costa County coroner's office confirmed on Monday.

EAST BAY, CA -- A 28-year-old motorcyclist who crashed in Martinez last week has died, the Contra Costa County coroner's office said Monday.
Knightsen resident Anthony Philpot died Friday, four days after the crash, according to the coroner's office.
Police were dispatched to a downed motorcycle in the 1800 block of Marina Vista at 11:21 p.m. on May 8, police said.

When officers arrived, they found a man down in the roadway near a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The man, later identified as Philpot, was believed to be the only person on the motorcycle, police said.
He was taken to a nearby trauma center in critical condition before eventually succumbing to his injuries.
