Motorcyclist Killed In Contra Costa County Crash Identified

A motorcyclist who died in a crash into a pole in Antioch on Saturday has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- A motorcyclist who died in a crash into a pole in Antioch on Saturday afternoon has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as 68-year-old Stanley Sequeira Jr.

Police officers responded at about 1:45 p.m. May 20 to the crash in the area of Wilbur and Viera avenues.

Sequeira, an Antioch resident, was riding the motorcycle with a 66-year-old female passenger. They were both taken to a hospital, where Sequeira died and the woman was listed in critical condition, police said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
