Music Monday: Jeffrey Halford And The Healers Comes To Armando's Saturday
Singer/songwriter has been compared to "Hemingway with a bluesy guitar."

This Saturday at , a Bay Area singer/songwriter, Jeffrey Halford, and his band The Healers will bring their brand of Americana to the local venue for a night of songs about life as it is today.
Halford has received a lot of accolades over the past few years, including one comparison to βHemingway with a bluesy guitar.β His songs and his voice are on the gritty side, but he has a glimmer of hope in his lyrics that belies the starkness of the presentation. He also plays a pretty mean slide guitar.
The former architectural student had a pretty typical American childhood, moving across the country and the state with his parents, who were always seeking a better job, a better place. After finding his voice and his guitar, Halford joined some street musicians in San Francisco for a number of years, honing his skills there and later in Oakland clubs, before forming the Healers.
