  1. A great story was submitted by a reader commenting on our story about about how the park was rescued from the grip of rowdy youngsters by a neighborhood hero. Check it out.
  2. If you're at all curious about , there is a presentation this evening at 7:00pm in Concord by two leading experts in the field.  It's being presented by the League of Women Voters, at the Cal State East Bay Campus, 4700 Ygnacio Valley Rd. 
  3. There's a great conversation going on about people use in Martinez, and why. Feel free to add your point of view.
  4. If you're in downtown today, stop by the newest eatery, at 627 Main St. They serve breakfast and lunch now, and are getting ready to add tapas and wine to their list of offerings.
  5. You're going to read more about this story later this week, but right now you should know that the Eighth Grade Basketball Team won this year's pre-season tournament in South Lake Tahoe this weekend, for the first time in ten years. Congratulations, gentlemen!
