Police Investigating Shooting In Nearby Antioch That Put 1 In Hopsital

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- A man is in critical but stable condition after he was shot late Wednesday night in Antioch, police said.

At 11:18 p.m., police were dispatched to Walter Way on a report of a shooting.

At the scene, officers found a 37-year-old Antioch man on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was shot after engaging in a brief argument, police said.

The victim was transported to a hospital where he is being treated and is in critical but stable condition.
