Police Log - A Car Is Pumkinized, A Dog Statue Stolen, A Woman Is Assaulted

November 8

Not so smooth - 8:28 a.m.Β An elderly man walked up to a woman at John Muir Elementary School and asked if she wanted to get high. When she said no, the man reportedly threatend to beat her up. He was gone when police arrived.

Dog statue stolen - 8:54 a.m.Β A woman reported the theft of a dog statue from her front lawn on Holiday Hills Drive.

Mail theft - 10:58 a.m. -Β 10:57 Β Mail was reported stolen from a mailbox on Isabel Drive.

Dog vs. hammer - 11:18 a.m. A man on Stillcreek Court reportedly threated to hit is neighbor's dog with a hammer while the neighbor was in the back yard fixing a fence.Β

Drug peddling - 12:33 p.m. A man between the ages of 35 and 40 years old riding a bike at Susana Street Park reportedly tried to sell some kids marijuana. He was last seen riding toward Martinez Jr. High.

Attempted robbery - 5:17 p.m. A man in a black face mask reportedly demanded money from a woman at the Quik Stop market on Alhambra Avenue.Β 

November 9

No Census - 5:31 p.m. A woman on Lance Court reported that a person callling themselves a census worker was coming to her door every day for a week, asking about residential and banking information.Β 

November 10

Theft of personal items - 2:24 a.m. A woman at the Best Value Inn on Alhambra Avenue reported that she was set up with a man who stole her phone, purse and laptop while she was in the shower.Β 

Pumpkinized - 7:10 a.m. A car on Marie Avenue was covered with pumpkin sometime overnight.Β 

Hit and run - 6:01 p.m. A grey Honda Accord driven by a woman hit a mailbox and a tree on Haag Road before speeding off toward Alhambra Avenue.

Stolen bike - 6:51 p.m. A man reported his bike was stolen from Home Depot on Arnold Drive.

Assault - 8:56 p.m.Β A woman reported that she was assaulted at Grace Episcopal Church on Muir Station Road by a man possibly armed with a rock.Β 

November 11

Theft from auto - 11:03 a.m. A car was broken into on Brackman Lane and a bag was taken.Β 

Theft from auto - 11:51 a.m. A car on Pleasant Hill Road East was broken into and a phone charger was stolen.Β 

Burglary - 1:05 p.m. A home on Brookside Drive was broken into and electronics were stolen.

Throwing fireworks - 8:12 p.m. People were reportedly throwing fireworks at passing cars on Pine Street and Henrietta Street.
