Police Log - A Karma Check, Pot Drop, Stolen Safe, Coffee Tantrum

February 5
Animal call β A report was received of a German Shepard in the area of Maywood Lane and Morello Avenue, chasing children. Adults tried to catch the dog. The dog was gone by the time officers arrived.

Stolen truck β A truck was stolen overnight on Donegal Way.
Pot drop β A driver reported seeing a bag of marijuana in the gutter between the bike lane and the sidewalk near the corner of Morello Avenue and Elderwood Drive.

Motivated salesmen β A resident of Oakwood Court reported that two men were being aggressive and pounding on the door, trying to sell things. They were gone by the time police arrived.
Petty Theft β A man was arrested for petty theft in the parking lot of West America Bank on Ferry Street.
February 7
Karma check β A woman walked into the Police Department and asked to speak to an officer, wanting to know if she was in trouble due to her karma from things she had done.
February 8
Stolen safe β A safe was reported stolen from Caffino on Alhambra Avenue.
Hit and run β A cyclist was reportedly hit by a driver who then drove away, on Banbury Loop and Milano Way. The cyclist reported an injured shoulder.
February 9
Theft from shed β A boat motor, trolling motor and weed eater were reported stolen from a shed in the backyard of a home on Palisade Drive.
Uncooperative kids β A group of middle school boys were asked to leave the Hidden Valley Elementary School campus on Glacier Drive, and the boys refused.
Walmart riot β A fight with at least four people was reported in Walmart on Arnold Drive. No one was hurt.
February 10
Coffee tantrum β A man at the Main Street Starbucks was reportedly throwing coffee on customers and making threats.
Lighten up β City work crews reported that people were throwing equipment and material in the water related to the installation of new lights and light poles at the waterfront.
Cell yelling β A resident of Escobar Street reported that a woman was yelling into her cell phone in front of his house β he asked her to quiet down and she refused.
