Police Log - A Rash of Catalytic Converter Thefts
Also paint ball attack, a stubborn panhandler, and copper wire thefts.

July 27
Stolen cars – A car was reported stolen on Marina Vista, and another shortly thereafter on Rainier Drive.
Stubborn panhandler – A man was reported being aggressive while panhandling and refusing to leave at Valero gas station on Alhambra Avenue and Tower Market on Arnold Drive.

Parked convoy – The owner of ABC Supply Co. on Sunrise Drive reported several big rigs parked in the middle of the road, waiting to be dispatched to a job nearby; the owner said it had been going on for several weeks, and customers can’t get to this business.
Speaking his mind – A man is reported standing in a yard on Center Avenue yelling at passing cars.

July 28
Assault – An assault was reported in the Quik Stop on Alhambra Avenue.
July 29
Attempted theft – Two men were seen trying to steal the catalytic converter from a car on Ridgewood Drive.
Stolen car – A car was reported stolen from Mill Road.
Found puppies – A group of husky puppies were found at the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department on Glacier Drive. They were turned over to Animal Control.
Wire whisked away – Copper wire was reported stolen from Hidden Lakes soccer field on Morello Avenue. Later that day, more copper wire was reported stolen from Alhambra High School.
Another catalytic converter stolen – A catalytic converter was stolen from a car on Knollview Court.
Drive-by bicycle thief – A man reportedly drove by on a bicycle and stole some medications from a person who was getting a child out of a car seat on Alhambra Avenue.
A stinky caper – A sewer cleaning truck reported items stolen from the back of the vehicle.
Another converter stolen – A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on Bush Street.
July 30
Fence jumper – A man was seen jumping the fence onto the Shell Museum property on Pacheco Boulevard.
More converters stolen – One from a car on Brookside Drive, and later from a car on Canyon Way.
Shattered Evening – A rock was thrown through the front window of a home on Pine Street.
Bar assault – A man is reportedly assaulted at Ray’s Lounge on Ferry Street.
Unwanted paint job – A homeowner on Redwood Drive reported that they had video of several people shooting paintballs at their house.
