JAN. 30

Special delivery – A newspaper delivery person got a little carried away and threw a newspaper through the window of a home on Gilger Avenue.

Rock meets window – An Allen Street resident came home to find the front window of the home broken and a rock on the living-room floor.

Copper nab – A home on Yale Street was broken into and copper was taken.

Long-term parking – A car on Walnut Street was parked in the same location for more than three months.

A clean break – Someone tried to break into a laundry room on Soto Street and in the process broke the door handle.

JAN. 31

Hurt bird – Someone reported an injured hawk at the entrance to Rankin Park.

Key mystery – A woman reported that two young adults were trying to get into her Saturn in the Alhambra High parking lot. When she confronted them, they said they found the keys.

Stoners in the morning – Report of six teenagers in the Wendy’s parking lot on Alhambra Avenue passing around what appeared to be marijuana at 11:49 am.

No Ups or downs – A woman and a newborn got stuck on an elevator in a Douglas Drive building. The fire department got them out safely.

FEB. 1

It was gas, gas, gas – A severe gas leak was reported in the research building of the Veterans Administration hospital on Muir Road. The Fire Department responded.

Wrong court – A Church Street resident called to complain that soccer practice was being held on the Nancy Boyd Park tennis courts.

Not a nice surprise – A resident of Hillside Drive came home to find his house had been broken into.

Please don't have it your way – Employees at the Subway on Center Avenue reported a man who appeared intoxicated was taking off his clothes.

FEB. 2

Auto destruction – A car on Marie Avenue was scratched with a key and two tires slashed.

Self-locking not so good – A Talbart Street resident was in the garage when the automatic locking door closed and locked her in.

Cycles aplenty – A report of up to 50 bicycles gathered in the skateboard park.

FEB. 3

Boom box – A resident on Grandview Avenue found a box of M100 explosives. The Walnut Creek Bomb Squad was called in to dispose of them.

Breaking (the door) and entering – A Castro Street home was broken into when the back door was kicked in.

Donuts – A driver doing donuts at Cunningham Way and Glouchester Lane wound up landing on a lawn before driving away.

FEB. 4

Scary footsteps – A woman at America’s Best Value Inn reported someone walking past her room for 20 minutes.

Busted by bags – A report of garbage bags was dumped on Arnold Drive and a name and address were discovered in the garbage.

It’s not oregano – A bag of pot was found on the sidewalk in front of the Lucky Store on Arnold Drive.

Don't do it – A Bush Street resident called the Police Department to ask at what age he can leave his child in the car, since someone called the police when he left his 10-year-old there.

Head-on collision – A truck on Pacheco Boulevard hit a car head on. Injuries were sustained.

Car theft – A car was stolen on Arana Drive.

Smash 'n' grab – A driver’s side window was smashed at the Franklin Canyon Road/Alhambra Avenue Park and Ride and a wallet taken.

Unholy graffiti – A man was seen marking graffiti on the wall of St. Catherine’s Church on Estudillo Street.
