No fare for you – A man got into a fight with a cab driver at the Marina for allegedly refusing to pay a $90 fare.
What’s under there? – A man and woman were seen on Fig Tree Lane and Arnold Drive burying objects under leaves.

Prowler? – A house sitter on Lake Crest Court reported that someone was trying to break in, opening the front door screen and using flashlights, before apparently driving away.
When tires squeal – Several complaints are received throughout the day about screeching tires from the parking lot of the United Methodist Church on Church Street.

You are not a plant – A man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness when he refused to leave a planter at the Amtrak Station.
Aug. 23
Smash and grab – The driver’s side window of a car on Pleasant Hill Road East was smashed and items removed.
Car broken into – A car was broken into in the lot of 24 Hour Fitness on Alhambra Avenue.
Stolen snake and bucket – Someone stole a plumbing snake and a bucket of tools from the maintenance closet of the Emerson Arms Apartments on Ward Street.
Stolen jewelry – A home on Ashwood Drive was entered and a jewelry box and jewelry were stolen.
Plants run wild – Reports are received about an overgrown palm tree blocking half the sidewalk on Pine Street, and an oleander plant growing over a stop sign on Harbor View Drive.

Assault – A man was arrested on suspicion of assault when he allegedly pulled out a chain and tried to beat someone else with it.
Tank transfer – A woman was seen by a resident of Marion Lane siphoning gas.
