Done with the Luggage – A man in his 20s drove up to the corner of Center Avenue and Glacier Drive, threw a suitcase to the corner and drove off.

Grim Discovery – A bunch of needles were found near a laundry room in the Hidden Creek apartments.

No Spare Change – Two young teens were reported soliciting for a charity door to door on Lassen Drive.

Car Theft – A neighbor on Lance Court reports that two men were trying to break into her neighbor’s car, one with a mask on his face.

Brazen Theft – A resident reports that a man came up his driveway and began stealing parts from the race car parked there.

Grand Theft Auto – A black Honda CRX was stolen from F Street.

Noisy Future American Idols – A garage band was reported as disturbing the peace (which is, after all, their job) on Morello Heights Drive.

iTheft – An iPhone was stolen from an unlocked car on Elderwood Drive.

Suspicious Guy – A young man dressed in black with a backpack was seen hiding behind trees in the rear of apartments on Heatherleaf Lane.

Frantic Boxer – A resident on Roanoke and Chatswood drives reports that a car was parked for two hours with a boxer insideΒ and the dog appeared frantic.

Still Soliciting – Neighbors on Center Avenue report two young teens soliciting door to door.

Very Unhappy Camper – Martinez police report that a man called repeatedly, very upset about RVs parking near the old Amtrak Station.

MARCH 21

Grand Theft Auto – A car was stolen from Brady Street.

Bad Benjamin – Someone gave Haute Stuff Restaurant a fake $100 bill.

Smash and Grab – The passenger-side window of a car was broken and a gym bag stolen.

Manual Funds Transfer – Two armored vehicles were seen parked together, with something being transferred from one vehicle to the other. The reporting party thought this seemed odd.

Grand Theft, Medical Equipment – A resident of Center Avenue reports that a medical device was stolen from their home.

White Powder with Whole Grain Goodness – A resident of Morello Avenue and Jays Place reports piles of white powder in the road, with oats in it. We’re not making this up.

Not a City Council Meeting? – A resident of Snow Court and Center Avenue reports the sound of turkeys going crazy, and wondered what was going on.

MARCH 22

No Class – A transient was seen loitering on the grounds of Vicente School.

Did Anyone Call King Arthur? – Part of a sword was found near the reservoir.

A Misdemeanor Crime, A Fashion Tragedy – Some teens were seen trespassing at a vacant house on Berrellessa and Green streets, wearing hoodies, baggy pants and hats on backward.

MARCH 23

Car Theft – A Honda Accord being warmed up in the driveway was stolen from Brookside Drive.

Theft of Helicopter – A wrecked helicopter was stolen off a trailer from the Grace Episcopal Church on Muir Station Road. Yes, that’s right. A wrecked helicopter was stolen. Must have been an impressive getaway vehicle.

Burglary – A laptop and rent money were stolen from a home on Virginia Hills Drive.

Burglary – A burglary was reported on Mont St. Michel Way: entry through a dog door, stereo and surround sound system stolen, empty baggie of white substance left behind. A woman and three men were seen driving away from the residence.

iTheft – An iTouch was stolen from a backpack at Alhambra High School.

MARCH 24

Series of Auto Thefts – Cars were stolen from Stillcreek and Fries courts, and two on Center Avenue.

Stormy Weather – A mudslide was reported on Alhambra Valley Road at a blind turn; a tree trunk was reported blocking the creek next to the Martinez Early Childhood Center; Hampton Road was washed out; a huge rock was blocking Alhambra Valley Road near John Swett Elementary; and a mudslide partially blocked Franklin Canyon Road.

Burglary – Reported on Center Avenue.

Strange Place for a Nap – A woman came into Legal Grounds, bought something and then fell asleep in the middle of the floor.

MARCH 25

Mail Theft – Outgoing mail stolen from a mailbox on Rolling Hill Way.

Burglary – Up to four suspects may have been involved in the theft of jewelry and other items from Antiques On The Main.
