Police Report An Intruder Then Arrest Him On Suspicion Of Murder
Police arrest a man on suspicion of murder for a case investigators initially said involved an intruder.
MARTINEZ, CA — Martinez police announced Thursday the arrest of a man on suspicion of murder for a case earlier this year that investigators initially said involved an intruder at his home.
Kyle Daniels has been arrested for a case that was reported at about 4:45 a.m. on March 15, when officers responded to Hale Court for a report of someone heard yelling "intruder."
Officers arrived and found 41-year-old Oakland resident Dual Moore unconscious with significant injuries. He was taken to a hospital and later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Martinez police in an initial press release that day said a resident said that someone known to him entered the home without permission and attacked him.
In the ensuing months, police in partnership with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office investigated the case and determined that Daniels should be arrested and charged with murder.

Daniels was taken into custody Sept. 25 and booked into county jail in Martinez.
