Sketch Released Of Suspect In Arthur Road Carjacking

The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff Investigation Division is releasing a sketch of a suspect in an attempted robbery that occurred on November 3, 2011 in Pacheco.

The victim said he pulled over to the side of the road on the on-ramp of northbound I680 at Arthur Road to retrieve an item on the other side of his car. As he exited his vehicle, the suspect brandished a handgun at him. The victim grabbed the handgun. During a struggle, the suspect fired one round missing the victim but shattering one of the vehicle’s windows.

The suspect fled the scene. 

The suspect is described as a white male adult, approximately 45 years old, 5’8” - 5’10”, shoulder length hair, with a black goatee. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, faded blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
