Sketch Released Of Suspect In Arthur Road Carjacking

The suspect is a white male, 45 years old, with shoulder length hair and a black goatee.

The Contra Costa County Office of theΒ Sheriff Investigation Division is releasing aΒ sketch of a suspect in an attempted robbery thatΒ occurred on November 3, 2011 in Pacheco.

The victim said he pulled over to theΒ side of the road on the on-ramp of northboundΒ I680 at Arthur Road to retrieve an item on theΒ other side of his car. As he exited his vehicle,Β the suspect brandished a handgun at him. TheΒ victim grabbed the handgun. During a struggle,Β the suspect fired one round missing the victimΒ but shattering one of the vehicle’s windows.

The suspect fled the scene.Β

The suspect is described as a white maleΒ adult, approximately 45 years old, 5’8” - 5’10”,Β shoulder length hair, with a black goatee. HeΒ was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, fadedΒ blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
