A Man Suspected Of Raping 2 Girls Is Lured To Park, Beat Up By Teenaged Vigilantes: Report
He reportedly told a Contra Costa sheriff's deputy he went to a park to meet up with female friends but instead was jumped by four males.

RODEO, CA — The Contra Costa County District Attorney filed charges against a Rodeo man who is accused of raping two girls.
Before the investigation began or charges were filed, a group of four teenagers reportedly tried to avenge the two girls by taking matters into their own hands — literally.
Ayden Daniel Pacheco, 19, was charged May 3 with sexually assaulting a girl listed in court documents as Jane Doe 1, on or between Sept. 10-11, 2022. Pacheco was also charged with sexual penetration by a foreign object against Jane Doe 1.

Nine of 11 counts filed against Pacheco involved Jane Doe 2, including assault with intent to commit a felony against a victim under 18, forcible rape of a child over 14 years old, and forced oral copulation on a minor victim over 14 years of age, among others.
It is alleged the incidents with the second victim took place on or between June 30 and Sept.10, 2022. At least four of the charges carry possible enhancements for multiple victims, according to court documents filed in the case.

Authorities became aware of the allegations Sept. 11, 2022, when a group of vigilante teenagers lured Pacheco to a playground on Coral Drive in Rodeo and physically assaulted him, according to a news report Tuesday by the East Bay Times.
One of the deputies who responded to the park assault approached a group of Pacheco’s alleged attackers and spoke to them individually. One of them, a young woman known in court records as Jane Doe 1, told the deputy she needed to report something about Pacheco, according to the East Bay Times report.
She told the deputy that earlier that day, Pacheco offered to give her and another girl a ride home, but then raped her when they were alone in his car. She told him no repeatedly and tried to fight back but he choked her and told her, “Don’t pretend you don’t want it, I don’t like listening to you,” the girl alleged.
Jane Doe 1 also told the deputy it was her idea to lure Pacheco to the park but that the plan was to confront him and get him to confess what he’d done, according to the Times report.
Deputies learned another girl — Jane Doe 2 — may have had a similar experience. In an interview, Jane Doe 2 told authorities Pacheco groped her inside an El Sobrante church even after she told him to stop. Later they started what she called a relationship. They exchanged lewd texts and images and met up several times, she said. Their relationship ended about two months before Pacheco is suspected in the assault on Jane Doe 1.
Pacheco was arrested May 4 on a warrant for his arrest. He remains in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility where his bail is set at $4.42 million.
He could face 15 years to life in prison, according to the court documents. His next court appearance is set for June 30.
Regarding the attack at the park, Pacheco reportedly told a deputy he went there thinking he was meeting up with female friends but instead was jumped by four males. He did not seek charges against his attackers, authorities said.
