The Friday Fishing Derby — Reeling in Good Times
It was squeals and shouts on the Martinez Fishing Pier Friday as kids caught fish and hubcaps.
Friday's Fishing Derby was a pandimonious good time for the more than 40 kids — with parents and grandparents who joined them to try their luck in the relatively calm waters of Carquinez Strait.
Children squealed and shouted as they pulled various fish (and other items such as shoes and hubcaps) from the murky depths.
Martinez Patch was there to capture some of the sights and sounds (but thankfully not the smells).
