Tree Down At Susana Street Park

Two cars and a house barely escape damage as crews scramble to clear Estudillo Street.

A large tree snapped near the trunk and crashed at the corner of Brown and Estudillo streets in Susana Street Park Thursday afternoon, nearly crushing two cars and a house. The tree's fall was stopped by power and telephone wires, and crews were able to remove and dispose of the tree. The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. and the road was cleared by 4:30 p.m. It was unclear as of Friday what caused the tree to fall.
