Wells Fargo Donates to Martinez Agency Serving Veterans
SHELTER Inc., of Martinez, received $20,000 from Wells Fargo.

Wells Fargo has donated tens of thousands of dollars to Bay Area nonprofits that focus on proving services to veterans and members of the military, officials said.
The donation is part of a three-year commitment made in 2012 to help active the duty military and veterans by providing housing, career transition and customized financial education, according to company officials.
Seven Bay Area nonprofits received a total of $150,000 in grant money as part of the $35 million commitment.
Swords to Plowshares, of San Francisco and Oakland, received $50,000; San Jose-based Project HIRED received $30,000; Lee & Penny Anderson Defenders Lodge/PenFed Foundation, of Palo Alto, was awarded $20,000; SHELTER Inc., of Martinez, received $20,000; Veterans Business Outreach Center, of Santa Rosa, was given $15,000; San Ramon-based Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation was awarded $10,000; and Homeward Bound of Marin, of Novato, received $5,000.
