When Does School Start in Martinez?

Let the countdown begin. It’s summertime and there's still plenty of time to enjoy your favorite activities and family vacations.

But before you know it, back-to-school season will begin and you’ll be at Target and other stores snatching up school supplies and the latest fashions.

In the Martinez Unified School District, school starts on Tuesday, Aug. 21. In the Mount Diablo Unified School District (Hidden Valley Elementary and College Park High School), school starts on Aug. 29.

If you have a child entering seventh grade, remember that you'll need to show proof of the Tdap booster shot before starting school. The district is pretty clear: "No shot=no school."
