• Update: Accomplice Still at Large- Suspect Captured in McCloud Officer Shooting (siskiyou.news) — McCloud residents are being urged to stay alert as deputies continue searching for a woman believed to be armed after a high-speed chase and shooting that led to a shelter-in-place order and school delays. One suspect has been captured, but authorities say the second remains at large in the McCloud area and ask anyone with information to call 911 or the sheriff’s office.

Tribal leaders and salmon advocates warn the move weakens protections for already imperiled Sacramento River salmon runs and are urging Governor Newsom to sue to defend river ecosystems and fisheries.
