Wet Weather on Horizon
Menlo Park and Atherton residents are advised to pack an umbrella.

Today's dry, sunny weather is expected to turn wet tonight with a rainy, cold front passing through the region, a National Weather Service forecaster said. By 10 p.m., most of the Bay Area will see some drizzle, forecaster Steve Anderson said.
"Everyone is going to get a chance of rain," he said. It will start to rain in the North Bay earlier in the evening, with the San Francisco area seeing precipitation overnight, he said.
On Bay Area peaks of 3,000 feet and above, a light dusting of snow is possible as temperatures plummet overnight. On Wednesday, there is a slight chance of thunderstorms and light rain is forecast throughout the region. By the weekend it will warm up, with highs in the mid- to upper 60s, and no rain expected, Anderson said.

"It will be a great weekend," he said. Anderson said a several-day stretch of damp, cold weather is typical for this time of year. "It may feel colder because we haven't had any true winter weather recently," he said.
