
The City of Mill Valley will be holding an evacuation drill on May 4th, 2013 for residents in the Panoramic, Edgewood and Cascade Canyon neighborhoods.
Around 9 a.m. Saturday morning, residents will hear an evacuation siren activate and will receive a phone message requesting them to evacuate. As part of the drill, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office Air Patrol will also be utilizing an advanced public address system from a low flying airplane over Mill Valley between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
A command post and evacuee check in center will be established at Old Mill School.

Residents who live off Panoramic can check in at Marin County Fire Department's Throckmorton Fire Station. Residents are encouraged to participate by evacuating to Old Mill School or Throckmorton Fire Station and completing a short survey. Residents are also encouraged to visit displays that will include the Marin Humane Society, Red Cross, CERT, FireSafe Marin and Marin Medical Reserve Corps.
Residents can expect to see a large number of law enforcement and fire units training in the area during the drill.
