Burglar Of Bay Area Medical Office Arrested: Police
Police said the suspect is connected to a nationwide burglary crew.
MILL VALLEY, CA — Marin County Detectives arrested a man April 30 accused of stealing bank cards from a Mill Valley medical office, police said.
Adrian Thompson, 43, of Sacramento was arrested in connection with a reported burglary dating back to last year, police said.
In December 2024, a medical office in unincorporated Mill Valley reported a burglary. A man was seen loitering inside the office and a therapist found the man in her private office. She confronted him and he said he was seeking treatment for his knee, which the therapist does not treat, police said.

After he left, several therapists reported their bank cards were missing from their wallets and purses, police said,
Officers said through an investigation they identified Thompson, who has eight prior burglary convictions, as a suspect.

Police said they also identified Thompson as a member of a large commercial burglary crew that travel nationwide to states such as Texas, South Carolina and Washington that commit similar burglaries.
Marin County Sheriff’s Detectives located Thompson and two other individuals they believe are part of the crew in Oakland. Thompson was arrested for the Marin County burglary and $200,000 warrant out of Washington, police said.
Riana Ruffin, 28, of Oakland, was also arrested on a $150,000 Washington theft warrant. The police did not identify the third member but said they had a nonextraditable $100,000 theft warrant.
Buffin and Thompson were booked into the Marin County Jail, police said.
