Caltrans Kicks Off Hwy. 1 Work Monday

Agency advises drivers to expect delays near Stinson Beach because of pavement repairs.

Caltrans is closing portions of state Highway 1 in West Marin for pavement repairs starting today.

Crews will be repaving numerous pavement failures on a stretch of Highway 1 about two miles south of Muir Beach, according to Caltrans.

A second portion of roadway south of Panoramic Highway to Calle Del Arroyo in Stinson Beach will also be undergoing repairs.

One-way traffic will be in place at the construction sites Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The work is expected to take about two weeks.

Drivers are advised to expect some delays and allow for additional driving time.
