While stop lights are one of the necessary evils of commuting, they don’t guarantee safety for pedestrians or cooperation from drivers.

Here’s what readers said on social media:

- "It's not a question of how many so much as how they are timed to be in sync (or, as is often the case, are not in sync) with each other. Morning traffic flow out of MV is horrible, and one can't help but wish there were some solution linked to the lights."

- "There was never a problem until the Tam Valley lights went in at Tennessee Valley Rd and Flamingo!"

- "It's not the number of lights, it's the wait time at certain lights (left turn lights in particular) at very busy times of day."
