Driver In Fatal Marin Hit-And-Run Sentenced: Report

Marie Noelle Siegenthaler, 29, was the victim of the crash on March 26, 2016, the Marin Independent Journal reported.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A man convicted last month in a 2016 hit-and-run crash in Marin that killed a woman was sentenced to four years and eight months Thursday in Marin County Superior Court, the Marin Independent Journal reported.

Frank Anthony Barone Jr., 34, of Moorpark received the maximum sentence on felony charges of hit-and-run and conspiring to obstruct justice in connection with the March 26, 2016, freeway crash that killed a motorcyclist, the newspaper reported.

Marie Noelle Siegenthaler, 29, was the victim of the crash, the paper reported.

Siegenthaler was riding her motorcycle on southbound U.S. Highway 101 near the East Blithedale Avenue exit when a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Barone struck and killed her, according to the California Highway Patrol.
