The 17th Annual Milley Awards

Awards for outstanding creative achievement and contributions to the arts in Mill Valley will be presented Sunday, October 23, at the 17th Annual Milley Awards dinner at the .

The winners of this years awards are landscape architect Eldon Beck, journalist and essayist Katy Butler, founder and director of the Italian Street Painting Festival Sue Carlomagno, rock musician and entertainer Sammy Hagar, and father and son jazz musicians Si and Max Perkoff.

In addition, music educator and pianist Larry Snyder will receive The Sali Lieberman Award for his lasting achievements and contributions to the Mill Valley and Bay Area communities.

Pop music critic and author Joel Selvin will emcee the tribute to seven of Marin’s distinguished visionaries. The Milleys are sponsored by the Mill Valley Art Commission and produced by the a volunteer Milley Awards board of directors. Nominations are gathered in the spring and avolunteer group of judges make the selections in the summer.

The Milley Award given to each recipient is a bronze statuette created by sculptor John Libberton of Sausalito.
