The annual migration of large raptor birds is an amazing natural event, which happens every autumn in Marin. Thousands of hawks, eagles, falcons, harriers, kites, and turkey vultures soar through the Marin Headlands on their journey home. Eager volunteers gather throughout the fall months to count and keep track of the numbers of each species that they see.

Raw Oyster Cult is a New Orleans swamp rock super-group that features the best of several of the greatest bands that have ever come out of the Big Easy. A number of bands have risen from the ashes of the Radiators and Raw Oyster Cult – the name is a naturally N’Awlins spin on ‘70s classic rockers Blue Oyster Cult – may be the most Radiators-like of them all. It features three former Rads – guitarists Dave Malone and Camile Baudoin, and drummer Frank Bua – plus Papa Grows Funk keyboardist John “Papa” Gros. Together, they remake favorites from the Rads repertoire, enliven songs from Gros’ own extensive catalog, and throw in the occasional curveball.
