Mama's Has the Best Mother's Day Brunch in Town, Readers Say

Thirty-eight years after it first opened its doors, Mama's Royal Cafe on Miller Ave. continues to pack 'em in with its eclectic menu, earthy vibe and inimitably artsy decor.

owner Candace Paine has no shortage of tales to tell from her 28 years of owning the eclectic Miller Ave. restaurant.

There are the singing waiters and waitresses, the bevy of celebrity customers and coming downstairs from his second floor office to sand one of his trademark toilet seat guitars on the restaurant's tables. 

But for Paine, the best moments are when she sees a customer who's been coming to Mama's since they were little bring in their own littles ones.

"Everything in this place is real and it feels like home to people," she says.
