Yevgeny Faktorovich of Sausalito was arrested last weekend after police said he was flying an airplane filled with marijuana.

MARIN COUNTY, CA -- Alabama police said a Marin County man was arrested after he was caught flying an airplane with 38 pounds of marijuana. Yevgeny Faktorovich of Sausalito apparently flew a 1967 Beech Craft V35A into the Pryor Regional Airfield on Dec. 9 where he was caught.

Authorities were notified of the "suspicious aircraft" around 3:45 p.m. last weekend, prompting police to do an inspection of the aircraft, Decatur Police Department said.

"Faktorovich immediately became extremely nervous and continued to glance back towards the passenger's compartment of his aircraft. At that point, K-9 Officer Greg Rutherford and K-9 Baron arrived on scene and performed an air sniff around Faktorovich's aircraft. K-9 Baron indicated the presence of narcotics in Faktorovich's aircraft," police said in a press release.
