Marin County's Glassdoor Sold To Japanese Company
The company was sold for $1.2 billion.

MILL VALLEY, CA -- Glassdoor, the Marin County company where employees anonymously post reviews about current and past employers, was sold to a Japanese company for $1.2 billion. Bloomberg News reported the local company was sold to Recruit Holdings.
"Recruit will gain access to the U.S. website’s extensive cache of content such as employee reviews, while Glassdoor will seek to accelerate its push into non-U.S. markets," the news organization reported. "Recruit shares rose as much as 3 percent in Tokyo."
Bloomberg News reported the company also purchased Indeed, the job recruiting website, in 2012.

"The transaction is on track to close by September, Recruit said in a statement Wednesday," Bloomberg News reported. "The Tokyo-based company said it’s financing the deal with cash on hand. The companies are currently going through the regulatory review process."
