Marin Man Assaulted During Attempted Car Break-in: Report

The suspect is accused of kicking the victim in the stomach, police said, according to the report.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A San Rafael man was injured early Wednesday morning after confronting a car burglary suspect who allegedly broke into his car, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

Idalia Hernandez Arvizu, 24, of San Rafael, was arrested on suspicion of threatening a crime with the intent to terrorize and vehicle theft among other crimes, the report said.

The suspect is accused of kicking the victim in the stomach, police said, according to the report.

The victim was treated at the scene.

Arvizu was found to be in possession of tools associated with vehicle theft including double-sided shaved keys, according to police, the report said.
