Mill Valley Brings Back 'Knitting Us Together' Community Art Project

Community members are encouraged to submit pieces for the exhibit at the Mill Valley Community Center (180 Camino Alto)​ by Aug. 10.

MILL VALLEY, CA — A popular Mill Valley community art project is returning this year.

The North Bay city is bringing back Knitting Us Together with the stated goal of creating “public art that brings our entire community together,” city officials said.

“Everyone can participate, everyone can enjoy the installation by walking through or driving by the Plaza.”

The temporary installation, commonly called “urban knitting,” is expected to launch Aug. 27 and remain on display at the Mill Valley Downtown Plaza through October.

Community members are encouraged to submit pieces for the exhibit at the Mill Valley Community Center (180 Camino Alto) by Aug. 10.

Knitted pieces can be left in a drop box at the Community Center weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
