Mill Valley Names New City Manager
Todd Cusimano will replace outgoing City Manger Alan Piombo, officials said. The move is effective Sept. 1.
MILL VALLEY, CA — The city of Mill Valley has named Todd Cusimano as its new city manager.
Cusimano will replace outing City Manager Alan Piombo.
Cusimano and the city appointment culminates a search that began after Piombo announced his retirement in early March.

Cusimano has served the public for 28 years, beginning as a reserve officer with the Twin Cities Police Authority, where he climbed the ranks to eventually become the agency’s chief.
He was appointed Corte Madera’s town manager in 2016.

Cusimano and the city agreed to a five-year contract at a starting salary of $257,000 with 2.25 percent in 2023 and 2024 and 3.5 percent raises the last two years of the contract.
The move is effective Sept. 1
“In his 16 years as an administrator and executive in Marin County, Mr. Cusimano has demonstrated experience and expertise in long-term fiscal sustainability, delivering infrastructure improvements, providing strong community engagement, prioritizing outstanding customer service, and continuing to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice throughout all levels of the town government and community,” city officials said.
