MILL VALLEY, CA — Mill Valley is readying for PG&E crews to help make the North Bay city less fire prone.

PG&E crews will inspect trees for safety risks and notify residents if work is planned for their property, city officials said.

Crews will conduct follow-up inspections to ensure the work meets safety standards.

Crews will prune tree limbs and branches near powerlines and cut down dead, diseased or dying trees that pose a risk to powerlines and electric equipment.

“This week, and in upcoming weeks, PG&E will conduct vegetation safety work in high fire-threat areas of Mill Valley to keep trees, limbs and branches away from powerlines and electric equipment,” city officials said in a statement.
