New Mill Valley Design Studio Open House Saturday to Raise Funds for Elementary PTAs
Mill Valley fashion designer J'Amy Tarr will open her studio design office for a fashion showcase to benefit Edna and Strawberry Elementary Schools this Saturday.
Local fashion designer J'Amy Tarr will open her studio to guests this Saturday, donating 10% of proceeds to Edna and Strawberry Elementary Schools.
Born and raised Mill Valley native, Tarr has brought her love of big city fashion and design home, while giving back to the community at her open house showcase of, what she calls, Northern California style.
Tarr says she maintains a San Francisco style perspective, even after time studying in New York and Seattle, as she enjoys the modern effortlessness of the area's chic outerwear.
"I believe in style, not trends," says the international fashion-award winning mother of two, "My designs are timeless, yet modern, while refined or edgy — depending on how you style the garment."
Tarr has designed three key pieces that include a moto jacket, signature tux jacket and zip front coat, along with a variety of shirt, pants, and dresses, with all manufacturing, grading, sewing and finishing done within 100-miles of Mill Valley.
Join J'Amy Tarr on Nov. 23, 10a.m—6p.m., in her design studio at 38 Miller Avenue Suite 11, for an opportunity to experience an up-close look at where and how clothes are created, as well as, a chance to win an hour-and-a-half-design session with for 2-3 Mill Valley students.
