Robert Redford Lists $4.15M North Bay Home

The Hollywood icon and his wife Sibylle purchased the idyllic Tiburon cottage in 2020.

TIBURON, CA — Academy Award-winning filmmaker and actor Robert Redford has put his Marin County cottage on the market for an asking price of $4.15 million.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the SoCal native and Hollywood legend purchased the 2,824 square-foot home on a quiet Tiburon cul-de-sac for $3.1 million in 2020.

A listing for the property from Compass highlights the home's "serene seaside location," sweeping views, and proximity to Tiburon's town sware and ferries to Angel Island and San Francisco.

"For the property's current owners, the majestic views, the sublime tranquility, and the private setting, have made the warm and inviting home a sanctuary of contentment; a place where gratitude, grace, and the ebb and flow of life can be put into focus, and appreciated," Compass writes. "The serene water views of Keil Cove, Raccoon Strait, Angel Island, and the San Francisco Bay are not dominated by man-made objects, but rather, by the natural world."

In a statement provided to the Chronicle, Robert and his wife Sibylle Szaggars Redford shared fond memories of their time in Tiburon.

"We have always loved the fact that one can walk to most places, not only stores and restaurants, but also hiking trails in the nearby open space," the Redfords said. "It has a friendly vibe, and we enjoy walking the path and exchanging greetings with other walkers, both people and dogs."

As the Chronicle reports, the couple primarily calls Sante Fe home, where they run the art-based non-profit The Way of Rain.
