Search For Drunk Camper In Marin County Ends Well

Three dozen first responders searched for a drunken camper in West County.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — First responders searched for a camper in West Marin County after his friends reported he was missing and "severely intoxicated," officials said.

At around 3 a.m. on the Olema Ranch Campground, first responders searched high and low for a man who turned out to be passed out drunk in a nearby field, according to the Marin County Search and Rescue team.

Over 40 search and rescue members scoured the grounds on foot and e-bikes along with K9s, but the man turned out to be only about half a mile away from his campsite and simply walked back on his own.
