Tam High grad Snags Big West Academic Honor
UC Davis redshirt freshman Schleuter lands a spot on the 2010 all-academic team for her conference.

Mill Valley's Katie Schlueter, a former Tam High star water polo star and now a redshirt freshman on the UC Davis women's water polo team, was named to the 2010 all-academic team for the Big West Conference this week.
After sitting out her freshman season, Schleuter, who majors in exercise biology, played in 24 games as a sophomore, scoring four goals and netting two assists and eight steals.
To be eligible for the academic recognition, student-athletes must hold a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average, be in sophomore standing academically and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests. Schlueter and four of her Aggies water polo teammates were among 20 UC Davis student-athletes to receive the honor.
