Milpitas Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Moreno Valley Motorist

The crash occurred Thursday morning on California Circle in Milpitas. The driver stayed to cooperate with police.

MILPITAS, CA -- An 84-year-old Milpitas resident died Thursday after being struck by vehicle while he was crossing the street near the intersection of California Circle and Dixon Landing, Milpitas police reported.

Officers responded to the call on the 1600 block of California Circle at 8:08 a.m. and discovered a 56 year-old Moreno Valley resident driving a white 2015 Ford F150 pickup remained on the scene to cooperate with police.

The pedestrian, whose identity is undisclosed at this time, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

It was determined that alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
