San Jose Parolee Accused, Arrested For Burglary

Milpitas officers conducted what appeared to be a routine traffic stop on Friday morning and ended up taking a S.J. parolee in custody.

MILPITAS, CA -- A routine traffic stop on early Friday morning led to one San Jose resident arrested and two others receiving citations near the intersection of Canton and South Temple drives in Milpitas.

At 2:27 a.m., Milpitas officers noticed a white 2006 Acura TL without lights on parked suspiciously next to a Honda Acura that immediately drove away upon seeing the patrol car, police said. When officers stopped the Acura, they determined the Honda had been burglarized and property was found stolen during a search.

Police recognized Ramon Cruz, 29, as a parolee. He was taken into custody on a parole violation as well as suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The 14-year-old San Jose male sitting in a rear seat was issued a citation for burglary and released to a guardian.

Officers determined the two males were responsible for the burglary.

The driver, Jessica Nieto, 32, of San Jose, was also given a citation for driving on a suspended license and for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Nieto was released at the scene.
